Designing your engagement ring
Designing a bespoke engagement ring for your special someone can be daunting – I get that. So Jess and I are here every step of the way to guide and assist your journey to create a bespoke engagement ring that reflects you and your partner perfectly.
It all starts with a little chat. We can either chat on the phone, via email or in person during a relaxed consultation here at the studio. I will then gather ideas and get a real grasp of the sort of thing that you are after.
Then if I haven’t already, I will begin designing a few ideas for you and source a selection of the gorgeous gemstones for you to personally hand pick.
Picking your perfect gemstone
Be it a diamond, an emerald or whatever you decide I will source a selection of gorgeous ethically soured gemstones for you to come in and view in the studio. If you live further away – don’t fret – I often liaise with clients over WhatsApp when choosing the perfect gemstone for them by sending videos and my honest opinion on which one I would go for.
You can choose your gemstone by shape, colour or type and an idea of budget usually helps, as I like to keep prices within my clients preferred spend. I simply need a few vague pointers in order to begin sourcing the gemstone that will eventually be in your handmade and personally designed ring.
3D printing and resin models
For the more nervy amongst you, I find these resin models really help to bring the design you have chosen to life. You can pop in to the studio and take a look at a 3D printed version of your engagement ring in the exact dimensions, which allows us to pop your chosen gemstone into the piece for a full scale sneak peek at the final design.
If you want to make any changes now is the time! We can alter widths, remove some elements or add more – whatever you like, with the designs and the gemstone to hand to really give you peace of mind.
Your finished bespoke design
Once all of the above stages have been completed and you are happy with your choices and design, it is over to me to complete the piece for you. The total turn around of the ring is usually 6 – 8 weeks so allow a little time.
Our aim is to make the whole journey as stress free and as enjoyable as possible for you with a unique ring that you will not see on any other hands strolling around Cheltenham and beyond!
